Rihanna Crucifies Trump Over His Reaction To The El Paso Mass Shooting
Ever since Saturday morning’s (August 3) white domestic terrorist attack in El Paso, Texas, Donald Trump and Republicans have largely stayed away from labeling the horrific tragedy what it really was: a terrorist act of white supremacy.
A white male entered an El Paso, Texas Walmart and opened fire. Killing a confirmed 20 people and injuring 26 others. Subsequently, they arrested 21-year-old Patrick Crusius of Allen, Texas who, before the mass shooting, reportedly wrote a four-page manifesto filled with seething hatred toward Latinx people and other Black and Brown immigrants.
Even with all of that information, the president decided not to label the attack a “terrorist” one but instead skirted the wording in favor of simply calling it a “hateful attack.” Well, this enraged anyone with any common sense, but perhaps the best celebrity response came from Rihanna.
The superstar songstress reposted Trump’s tweet about the El Paso shooting and captioned it with a gracious clapback worthy of the hall of fame.
“Um... Donald, you spelt ‘terrorism’ wrong! Your country had 2 terrorist attacks back to back, hours apart leaving almost 30 innocent people dead. This, just days after yet another terrorist attack in California, where a terrorist was able to LEGALLY purchase an assault rifle (AK-47) in Vegas, then drive hours to a food festival in Cali leaving 6 more people dead including a young infant baby boy!” RiRi wrote, before putting everything into context.
“Imagine a world where it’s easier to get an AK-47 than a VISA!” she continued. “Imagine a world where they build a wall to keep terrorists IN AMERICA!!! My prayers and deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of all the victims and the communities affected and traumatized, from Texas, California, and Ohio! I’m so sorry for your loss! Nobody deserves to die like this! NOBODY!”
Phew! She got The Donald all the way together!
