People Are Slamming Jason Whitlock for Saying Racism Is 'Primarily an Issue for the Poor'
Jason Whitlock has done it again.
The Fox Sports personality has managed to become a Twitter dragging and slander victim for his latest inexplicable take.
When asked about LeBron James's L.A. home being vandalized and the N-word spray painted on its front gate, Whitlock somehow explained it as a "disrespectful inconvenience" for the three-time NBA champion.
Wait ... what?
"This is where I struggle with LeBron James," Whitlock began saying on FS1's The Herd With Colin Cowherd today. "He has fallen into the far left trap of there's value in embracing your victimhood."
He also called James evoking Emmett Till while addressing the hate crime against his home "preposterous."
"He's on stage, [saying,] 'Oh, my family is safe,'" Whitlock continued. "[Safe] from what, spray paint? They're in Cleveland."
Wow.
And it only got worse.
"Racism is an issue in America, but it is primarily an issue for the poor," Whitlock added. "It's not LeBron James's issue. LeBron James, whether he likes it or not or whether people close to him are telling or not, he has removed himself from the damages and ravages of real racism. He may have an occasional disrespectful interaction with someone, a disrespectful inconvenience. The people that murdered Emmett Till got off. An all-white jury let them off. There was no real investigation. The whole town was against him.
"LeBron's $20 million Brentwood home gets vandalized and I see two or three police cars trying to get to the bottom of it," he continued. "LeBron's staff, I'm sure, cleaned up the spray paint within hours. This ain't Emmett Till! And we need to quit — and LeBron needs to quit — embracing his victimhood because he's not a victim. And it's a terrible message for Black people."
Wow ... just ... wow.
Upon hearing Whitlock's comments, Twitter dragged him to hell and back with zero chill.
