Diddy Pledged $25,000 To Hurricane Harvey Victims And People Have Opinions
In light of the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, celebrities are collectively using their star power to give back to the city of Houston. As the latest figure to step up to the plate, Diddy is using his platform to donate to those affected as well as encourage others to do their part.
Fresh off the heels of Kevin Hart's relief challenge, Diddy has pledged to donate $25,000 to hurrican victims. Taking to Instagram, the rap mogul declared he was ready to "get the relief process going."
"I want to take the time to send out all my prayers and condolences to everybody that's in the Houston, Texas, and Louisiana, New Orleans area that's being hit by this tragic storm," he started off his heartfelt message. Accepting Kevin's lofty challenge, Diddy went on to thank the comedian for his philanthropic efforts.
"Thank you for Kevin for what you're trying to do. And I think we should all support Kevin's initiative," he continued. "Let's do something now. Let's not talk about what we can do."
Over the past week, Hurricane Harvey has devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana. Reportedly, over 20 people have been killed and more than a dozen injured.
Following the announcement of his relief efforts, Diddy's minute-long clip went viral and he was applauded by fans and others alike for his donation.
While others didn't hesitate to criticize the Bad Boy CEO's donation amount, citing his net worth as a reason for Diddy to give more to the people of Houston.
