Waka Flocka Flame Wants to Buy Out His Atlantic Records Contract
Waka Flocka Flame isn't above paying Atlantic Records to get out of his contract.
The rapper tweeted today that the label is delaying his Flockaveli 2 release. “Sad that my label holding #Flockaveli2 BACK...!!!!! LET ME BUYOUT MY CONTRACT ASAP #AtlanticRecords.”
He followed the tweet with the hashtag, #LETWAKAGO.
Album drama could be fact or fiction for Waka at this stage in the game. Labels pushing back release dates is certainly nothing new to music, and just about every artist has had it out with their label, be it publicly or privately.

Waka however has been pulling off a lot of public stunts as of late, like the alleged sex tape story that turned out to be promo for his mixtape. Plus, he’s currently running for president and readying a Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta spin-off series.
On the other hand, any legitimate label static can hopefully be ironed out for the sake of Flockaveli 2.
