London Authorities Confirm Ongoing Probe Into Allegations of 'Physical Assaults' Involving Jonathan Majors
London authorities have confirmed an ongoing investigation into reports of "physical assaults" involving actor Jonathan Majors. The "Lovecraft Country" star is currently facing multiple criminal charges, including aggravated harassment, stemming from an incident last March involving his now ex-girlfriend.
The latest update comes just one week after the Manhattan District Attorney’s office submitted a filing containing previously unreported evidence. The 115-page report revealed efforts to obtain a copy of a London Metropolitan Police report regarding allegations of "physical assaults" at a London-area address in September 2022.
“Enquiries are ongoing; no arrests have been made,” a Met Police spokesperson said in a statement to Rolling Stone on Tuesday. Prosecutors believe this new report could bolster their case against the Marvel actor.
Last week, the “Creed III” star’s request to dismiss the case was denied. Additionally, Searchlight Pictures have also pushed back the December release of “Magazine Dreams,” a film depicting Majors as a bodybuilder with violent fantasies.
The actor pleaded not guilty to the four charges against him, including misdemeanor harassment and assault charges. If convicted, he could face a year up to a year in jail.
