Lady Gaga Wishes Ailing Saxophonist Clarence Clemons Well
Musician Clarence Clemons suffered a serious stroke last weekend but is "improving."
The saxophonist, 69, who is a longtime band member in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band also joined Lady Gaga's fold recently by contributing to songs on her "Born This Way" album. Gaga even tweeted fans and asked that they give her "very close friend + musician on 'The Edge of Glory' … some get-well videos?"
According to the Bruce Springsteen fansite Backstreets.com, "Today ... miracles are happening. His vital signs are improving. He's responsive. His eyes are welling up when we're talking to him. He was paralyzed on his left side, but now he's squeezing with his left hand," a source close to the musician tells the site. "This is the best news we've heard since [the stroke] happened — it's nothing short of miraculous. The next five days will still be critical but he's a fighter."
The sax man underwent two brain surgeries after the stroke and though he is in stable condition, Clemons continues to be quite ill.
