Tina Fey's 'Solution' For Racism Has Twitter Dragging Her To Hell
Celebrities have been weighing in on the horrific tragedy that took place in Charlottesville and while the majority of them have taken a serious approach toward voicing their concerns with the riots, Tina Fey has chosen to use her best asset to share her perspective: comedy.
Unfortunately, many were not here for her ballsy take on the issue that is currently affecting and changing the lives of many, and those critics have taken to social media to express those concerns.
The iconic comedienne showed up on Weekend Update's summer edition on Thursday night where she posed as a comedian, political commentator and alum of the University of Virginia, speaking out against the recent riots.
In her routine, sitting alongside "anchors" Michael Che and Colin Jost, Fey condemned president Donald Trump's disturbing response to the racially charged attacks in Charlottesville before giving some suggestions to those who seek to lessen future violence at these protests.
"I would urge people this Saturday, instead of participating in these screaming matches and potential violence, find a local business that you support, maybe a Jewish-run bakery, or an African-American-run bakery," she said. "Order a cake with the American flag on it like this one, and just eat it, Colin."
In case you're wondering how her instructions — facetious of not — can possibly solve any of the unrest currently going on, she expounded on her words.
"Next time you see a bunch of white boys in polo shirts screaming about taking our country back, and you want to scream, 'It's not our country; you stole it from the Native Americans, and when they have a peaceful protest at Standing Rock, we shoot at them with rubber bullets, but we let you chinless turds march through the streets with semi-automatic weapons!' When you want to yell that, don't yell it at the Klan, Colin — yell it into the cake."
Fey then proceeded to shove grocery store-bought sheet cake into her face while continuing to share her commentary on the recent heartbreaking events.

Needless to say, social media had mixed reactions to her informative yet comedic take, with many finding her "eat the pain away" approach, offensive.
