Tory Lanez Checks B. Simone After She Said She Won’t Date A Man With ‘9 to 5’ Job

B. Simone has since elaborated on her stance.

Tory Lanez stepped in with his thoughts amid the discourse that ensued after B. Simone declared that she can’t date a man who works a “9 to 5” job.

  • “Lolol i guess no one told my dog B.Simone that the world got A LOT of people who work a 9-5 THAT GET MORE MONEY THAN SOME OF OUR FAVORITE RAPPERS /ENTERTAINERS?!?!???” the Toronto rapper and singer  tweeted on Tuesday (June 9) with several laughing crying emojis. Lanez ended his social message with the note that women who hold down a traditional job are welcome to hit him up, writing “For me on the other hand ... all y’all ladies with 9-5s hit my line I got time.”

  • B. Simone caught some flack online once her comments hit the Twitterverse following her appearance on Nick Cannon’s Power 106 radio show on Tuesday (June 9). During their conversation, the self-professed “Manifest Queen” divulged that she’s been single for the past seven years but now she’s ready to be in a relationship. She then invited Cannon to set her up on a blind date. When he asked her what she was looking for in a man she said, “he can’t have a 9-5,” which perplexed the Wild N’ Out host.

Simone clarified that there’s nothing wrong with working a 9 to 5 job but she personally prefers to date “a hustling entrepreneur” whose lifestyle is more similar to her because they will understand each other better.

  • The 30-year-old took to Twitter later that day where she elaborated on her stance.

“I’m trying to manifest a husband.  Ain’t nothing wrong with a n***a with a 9 to 5. I get it. They work hard. I used to work a 9 to 5.Nothing is wrong,” she said in a video. “I need an entrepreneur. I need somebody that understands my mindset. Somebody that has the same lifestyle. It hasn’t anything to do with money.”
