Watch: People Are Dragging Former 'American Idol' Contestant Bo Bice After He Got a Popeyes' Employee Suspended for Calling Him 'White Boy'

Breaking down with salty white tears, he cried he was a "victim of racial prejudice."
  • Former 'American Idol' Runner Up Bo Bice recently called an employee of an Atlanta airport popeyes racist for calling him 'white boy'

In the interview with Fox 5, Bice claimed that while at a Popeyes, one of the employees identified him to another employee by calling him "that white boy."

During the interview, Bice broke down in tears about how he feels that his right to call out discrimination is undermined by the double standards of the country.

  • After the incident, Bice posted a rant to Facebook, which was later removed by the social media company

Since the story has received national attention, Popeyes' representatives have confirmed that the employee has been suspended.

“Mack II Inc. is very sorry that the incident occurred and for any pain or embarrassment that Mr. Bice experienced. The company does not condone the behavior of one of our associates and we took corrective action as soon as we were made aware of the incident. Also, we will require re-training of our associates to ensure this isolated incident does not occur again. In addition, Mr. Bice has been issued an apology by the General Manager. We value all of our customers regardless of race, religion, age, disability, gender, etc.”

  • After the interview with Fox and suspension of the employee, many wanted to let him know that his claims were egregious, to say the least

  • And many challenge him to speak up about other acts of racism that prove to be harmful to minorities

  • Although Bice hoped to open a healthy dialogue, most people think he played himself
