You Might Want to Pay Very Close Attention to Frank Ocean's Website
Frank Ocean is either really into wood-cutting, or trolling us into believing he’s about to release his long-awaited sophomore album.
Last night, the former Odd Future member put up something odd up on his website. Presented by Apple Music, a looped video of a man in a workshop putting sheets of wood through a table saw is currently running across the top (and only works though a Safari browser).
The video was created by Fransisco Soriano, who directed Frank’s “Lost” video, and could be interpreted as the singer is “working” on finishing his Boys Don’t Cry LP.
Also currently on his website is a post from last month showing a library card with numerous dates stamped on it. A lot of them were supposed release dates for the project that came and went without any music being released from Ocean. One of the dates is November 13, 2016, which of course hasn’t happened yet and could be the next date we’ll have to sit through with our knees clutched, rocking back-and-forth waiting for what could be.
Frank Ocean’s last full musical release was 2012’s critically acclaimed channel ORANGE. The album is currently at Gold status and has been nearing Platinum certification since 2014.
Check out a tweet from Team Frank Ocean Daily, who caught a screen grab of Soriano's Instagram post (which has since been deleted) about his latest work below and visit Frank Ocean’s website here.
