Here's What Trey Songz Noticed About Everyone's Reactions to the United Airlines Fiasco...
Social media continues to express its collective outrage regarding United Airlines' recent inexcusable incident where a passenger was forcibly dragged off of an overbooked flight.
The viral news story instantly sparked an outcry on Twitter, with many calling for a boycott of the airline and using the hashtag #NewUnitedAirlinesMottos to react to the incident. As others continue to weigh in on the situation, R&B singer Trey Songz noticed one thing in particular about the general commentary the event has since inspired.
Taking to Twitter, Songz reposted a news article about the unfortunate series of events, adding his two cents and touching on the fact he can't help but notice the incident has sparked an outrage that other tragic incidents, specifically those involving people of color, simply don't receive.
"Asian man beaten on a plane = outrage," Songz points out. "Man beaten by police without reason = oh again?"
The singer's tweet was instantly met with people agreeing with his statement, with many pointing out that they're glad Songz said this and echoing his sentiment that police brutality has been furiously normalized when the victim happens to be Black.
The singer also posted another comment regarding racism, adding, "If you can identify with racism you should understand everyone will not be able to overcome it, case by case situation by situation."
Take a look at Trey Songz sounding off on current events and adding his commentary about racial injustice in the posts below.
