Nike Officially Debuts the LeBron 9 Sneaker
Nike has officially introduced pictures of LeBron James’ ninth signature shoe, the “LEBRON 9,” which hits stores in October. The shoes will sell for $170 bucks a pop, and according to USA Today, they’re the highest price for any basketball sneakers sold at Nike’s online store, with the exception of a pair of Jordan shoes that sell for $175.
Would you buy LeBron’s shoes over Jordans!? Take a look at the new offerings and see if they’re worth it.
The LBJ 9′s come in the primary black/red/white color scheme and have a Max Air 180 unit in the heel with a Zoom unit in the forefoot. The shoe is the first to combine Flywire technology and Hyperfuse construction to create a nearly seamless, lightweight upper that’s still supportive.
There will also be an exclusive edition that comes in a blue and orange color scheme. A Chinese symbol of "fire" on the heel tab and a "Lion" symbol will be on the tongue of the shoe.
If you’re not feeling either of the colors, for the first time ever, “The King’s” signature shoe will also be available on NIKEiD, with full design features to customize your own pair.
The sneakers will drop in China first on October 1, and then hit the US in the limited edition "Cannon" color scheme October 15. The primary black/red/white color scheme will arrive in US stores October 25.
