Clark Atlanta Sets Record with Over 45,000 Student Applications

Clark Atlanta University's appeal soared this year as the Georgia-based historically Black institution shattered records with a record-breaking number of student applications.
With over 45,000 applications flooding in, the private university not only made history but also outpaced the University of Georgia.
CAU Athletic Director Dr. Jerel Drew spoke with WSB-TV 2, saying, “Clark Atlanta is on the rise. It continues to grow.”
As the first Historically Black College or University in the Southern U.S., Clark Atlanta University is proud of its distinguished alumni, which include the late civil rights icon James Weldon Johnson, the creator of the revered Black National Anthem, and Primetime Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer Kenya Barris.
