Tyrese Gibson in Russia for Transformers Premiere \r \r
Tyrese Gibson has left Fast Five in the dust. Now, it’s time to transform again. ET caught up with the star in Moscow for the premiere of his new movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He joined his costars Shia Lebeouf (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), Josh Duhamel (Life as We Know It and singer Fergie’s hubby) and newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to discuss the thrill of the sci-fi film that took 4,000 people to make.
He said that he is very proud of his brand new transformer co-star Huntington-Whiteley, who plays LeBeouf’s girlfriend. She had a natural ability to do stunts in stilettos, which included running through gun fire and having four cars explode around her. She is a former Victoria’s Secret model. “People are going to be really surprised with how she stepped in and how she handled everything with grace,” says Gibson who also started his career modeling.
The 32-year-old Los Angeles native, also an R&B singer, looked very comfortable shooting action-packed scenes. The cast reportedly “tore Chicago apart” and ET wondered if the Windy City would ever invite them back. “We only did what we had permission to do,” said Gibson, who loved the adventure. The action was the attraction.
