With just a few days left before we ring in the new year, former President Barack Obama shared his list of his favorite books, movies and music of 2018.

In a post on Facebook, Obama revealed an eclectic list of content he found particularly entertaining and thought provoking.

“It gives me a moment to pause and reflect on the year through the books, movies, and music that I found most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved,” he wrote on Facebook. “It also gives me a chance to highlight talented authors, artists, and storytellers – some who are household names and others who you may not have heard of before.” 

It should come as no surprise that former first lady Michelle Obama’s best-selling memoir, Becoming, topped the list.

“Obviously my favorite!” he wrote next to the title.

In addition to his wife’s book, Obama included other books he read this year:
