Stampede At GloRilla Concert In New York Results In 2 Dead

Two have now been reported to dead after the stampede at a GloRilla concert in Rochester, New York, on March 5, according to USA Today. The names of the victims have not been released.
Late last night (March 6), the rapper tweeted, "I am devastated & heartbroken over the tragic deaths that happened after Sunday’s show. My fans mean the world to me, praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected."

On Sunday night (March 5), unfounded fears of gunfire caused a crowd fleeing for the exits at a GloRilla concert in Rochester, New York, leaving one dead in the stampede and two others in critical condition.
According to the Associated Press, nine people in total were injured outside of the casualty. The rapper and her Memphis counterpart Finesse2tymes had finished performing their set when people exiting the venue just after 11 p.m. had begun to surge dangerously.
“We do not have any evidence of gunshots being fired or of anyone being shot or stabbed at the scene,” Police Chief David M. Smith said at a news briefing Monday, according to the AP.

After making their way inside, police reportedly found three badly injured women. One, age 33, died at the hospital. Two others were in critical condition as of Monday while seven other people were treated at area hospitals for injuries that were non life-threatening.
“What began last night as a night of live music and fun for the performer GloRilla ended in tragedy with one person dead and two more fighting for their lives,” the chief said.
Police are currently investigating other causes of the stampede considering they found no evidence gunfire actually occurred.
