‘No means No’: Keke Palmer Recounts Intrusive Encounter With Fan
Keke Palmer shares details of an overzealous fan approaching her for pictures.
On Saturday (April 24), the Emmy-winning actress tweeted out a few statements about the intrusive moment.
In her first tweet, Palmer said, “no means no, even when it doesn’t pertain to sex. I was at the bar the other day and this girl asked me three times for a picture and I told her three times nicely that I didn’t want [to] take one with her.”
Palmer, 28, says she proceeded to film her “against my will.”
In the second tweet sent out by the actress, she says, “if I went off on her I would’ve been wrong, so I just nervously laughed while my privacy was invaded upon.”
Still peeved by the encounter, she took to her Instagram page to share her tweets and a caption:
“I hate that I smiled,” Palmer began. “But that is my defense mechanism to laugh or joke in an uncomfortable situation.”
Palmer goes on to explain the ongoing process of creating boundaries and pleasing people in order to avoid conflict.
“Good luck to all those who also struggle with this from time to time.”
