Chris "Ludacris" Bridges is no stranger to controversy when it comes to his music.

The rapper's lyrics are often considered racy and sexually explicit, but Ludacris is hoping the attention he draws can be put to better use.

The rapper/actor is now one of several "youth AIDS celebrity ambassadors," and he has traveled across the country to talk to college students about HIV and AIDS. Bridges, who  wants to do his part for AIDS awareness, says he raps a lot about sex in his music, but says you never him talk about condoms.

He says it's important that he let young people know to be safe when they are having sex.

Young people need to know about HIV/AIDS before it's too late, so it's extremely important we talk about it.
