An 'Unfiltered' Documentary About Bad Gal, Rihanna Is Coming

“Her work strives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expect."

Rihanna has no problem being unapologetically herself, both on and off stage. The Caribbean starlet is taking her talents back to the big screen. She started in Peter Berg's Battleship in 2012 and since launching his production company, Film 45, Berg wants to create an biopic for the Bad Gal, herself. According to Deadline, the film will be “a contemporary take on the 1967 Bob Dylan rock doc, Don’t Look Back, described as an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.”

Berg also mentioned that the film would be more of a “character study,” as opposed to a music film because he wants to analyze RiRi as a young icon within this industry. Film 45 has been dropping hints on their website, including the movie’s overall premise: “[following] this true international superstar as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom.” The movie, currently, has no specific release date.
