President Obama Too 'Thirsty' for Attention?
Actor David Spade is tired of seeing President Obama everywhere in popular culture.
POTUS has been on extensive-list of magazine covers during his tenure. Most recently he was named GQ magazine's Man of the Year and was also named Ally of the Year by Out magazine.
Spade told TMZ recently that all this attention makes our president seem "thirsty."
"What president is doing reality shows?" Spade asked. "I thought a president should have a little more dignity."
FLOTUS has also been adored by many magazines for her taste in style and has done multiple TV appearances, dancing to promote her Let's Move! campaign. She recently released a rap track to encourage kids to stay in school and go to college.
"Michelle Obama's on Ellen more than I am," Spade adds. Spade thinks that most of the Obama's publicity is to set themselves up for their lives after the presidency. He does not emphasize that the bulk of their appearances on TV are centered around initiatives and causes, from climate change to healthy eating in kids.
"They're sort of plotting after the White House," Spade speculates instead.
Spade suggests that Obama should "relax." But as Obama enters his final year in the White House, there really is no telling what he will do next.
