Uh-oh!: Beloved 'Brother Nature' Blasted For Resurfaced Racist Tweets
Kelvin Pena, a.k.a. "Brother Nature" a.k.a. "Deer Whisperer," went viral back in 2016 for a Vine video called "Money and the deer squad." In the clip, Kelvin shows love to his backyard pal, Canela, a deer, by blessing her with a gold chain. He immediately became internet famous and kept his animal-loving antics coming, which a lot of times included his deer friends. The now 20-year-old has over two million followers on Instagram, but all of that is in jeopardy due to some very damaging resurfaced tweets.
"Heil Hitler," "Jay Z look like a monkey," and "I hate coons damnit" are just some of the racist, sexist and anti-Semitic tweets the internet uncovered, according to Buzzfeed.
"[W]hen I grow up I wanna be like Chris Brown. So if my girlfriend tried to look through my phone while driving I can choke and punch her :D," read another.
So what does Brother Nature have to say about the hack?
See Kelvin's apology via Twitter below, where he says he's "evolved as a human being" since he was 12 years old when he tweeted these:
Needless to say, the internet was heartbroken, but there are a lot of mixed reactions, including LOL-worthy memes about the whole situation.
What do you think, BET Fam? Is Brother Nature canceled, or does he deserved another chance?
