Faith Evans Signs New Record Deal, Preps Incomparable Release
Faith Evans has a new deal and new album on deck. The Grammy Award-winning R&B vet signed an exclusive publishing and BMG Artist Services deal with BMG Chrysalis U.S., to release her eighth studio album, Incomparable, Billboard reports.
"I am truly proud to join the forces of my imprint, Prolific Music Group, with BMG to present my next project, Incomparable," Evans said in a statement. "I look forward to a great partnership, as we are all very excited about this amazing collection of timeless R&B music."
Zach Katz, chief creative officer of BMG Chrysalis North America added, "Faith is part of an elite group of artists whose music and spirit speaks profoundly to generations of listeners. We warmly welcome her to our BMG family and look forward to sharing her powerful body of work with the world."
With more than two decades in the business, the 41-year-old's résumé includes authoring a New York Times best-seller and producing reality TV, but her roots remain in R&B. "Faith continues to make a cultural impact with her level of artistry and iconic status as R&B/hip hop royalty," noted BMG creative senior manager Jermi Thomas. "BMG is excited to make history with Faith and build her legacy of 20 plus years with the release of Incomparable."
The first single off her new album is "I Deserve It," an inspirational anthem featuring Missy Elliott and Sharaya J.
Incomparable will be released later this year.
