These are definitely fighting words.

After Floyd Mayweather Jr. said that Conor McGregor gets a pass for being cocky because he's white, the UFC featherweight champion blasted the retired, undefeated boxing legend, even challenging him to knuckle up.

"Floyd Mayweather, don't ever bring race into my success again," McGregor wrote as part of a scathing Facebook post over the weekend. "I am an Irishman. My people have been oppressed our entire existence. And still very much are. I understand the feeling of prejudice. It is a feeling that is deep in my blood."

He went on to challenge Mayweather to a fight, but putting the pay scale way in the favor of himself over "Money" for what he reasons was a lackluster sendoff from boxing in Mayweather's win over Andre Berto this past September.

"80/20 split purse in my favor seen as your last fight bombed at every area of revenue," McGregor continued.

He added: "At 27 years of age I now hold the key to this game. The game answers to me now."

His scathing comments come in response to Mayweather telling FightHype.com that he wasn't able to get away with being arrogant because he's Black.

"And what's so crazy, I don't really know the McGregor guy, never seen him fight," Mayweather said. "I heard his name actually from one of the runners that works for our company, a little kid named Ken Hopkins. He's a runner and takes care of a lot of the daily business. Whatever we need, he takes care of. He's a cool little kid. I like him and he does MMA. He told me about the guy McGregor. They say he talk a lot of trash and people praise him for it, but when I did it, they say I'm cocky and arrogant. So biased! Like I said before, all I'm saying is this: I ain't racist at all, but I'm telling you racism still exists." 

In separate news, TMZ is reporting that police are investigating McGregor for an Instagram photo that he posted of himself with a gun last week. To that, McGregor explained on his Facebook account that he had the weapon to rehearse for a "potential upcoming film role."
