Jeezy Takes CTE to Roc Nation
Jeezy's CTE label is officially down with Roc Nation.
Yesterday (Nov. 20), a photo of Jeezy and Jay Z was posted on the Atlanta rapper's Instagram page and the Life + Times website with the caption, "It's Official Now: CTE x Roc Nation x It's the World."
While the extent of their partnership has yet to be announced, the Snowman and his imprint are reportedly working on a management deal with Hov's ever-expanding company. According to XclusiveZone.net, CTE and RN are looking to launch a brand new management agency that will house Jeezy and artists he brings on board.
Jeezy was previously managed by KWL Enterprises, run by music executive Kevin Liles.
Linking with Roc Nation comes a week after Jeezy vented his frustrations about Def Jam, tweeting that the famed hip hop label was holding up his new album. He promised fans an "early Christmas-gift" if the label didn't "get this right."
No word as yet on whether Jeezy plans to leave Def Jam, but if he were to jump ship, a label deal with Jay would be an obvious choice. The two are longtime collaborators, and Jigga was Jeezy's boss back when he was the president of Def Jam.
