Drake Says "Take Care" Is His Best Project

He adds that "Headlines" is not the best track on his sophomore album.

On Sunday, Billboard.com caught up with Drake during the second annual OVO Fest in Toronto to ask about his upcoming album "Take Care." The Young Money star revealed that although his sophomore album was his best project to date, the first single "Headlines" is not the best track off the album. Makes sense. Why give away the great stuff up front?

"By no means is it the best song on my album, it's really just the song for this moment, right now," Drake says about "Headlines," which was released the morning of OVO Fest.

But even if "Headlines" is not the best the album will have to offer, Drake says the song still serves a purpose.

"I always try to put forth a song with a message. A lot of people pick their single by what's the strongest song. I don't really do that. I like to make sure that the content is very relevant to right now."

As far as his latest work goes, Drake is confident that he's only gotten better at his game.

"This is really, in my opinion, my best project," Drake says. "There's a lot of songs on it. Although people encourage me like, 'Oh, do 11, 12 songs,' I think there's going to be probably 18 songs on it. It's very reminiscent of 'So Far Gone' but the production has stepped up like 10 notches. I feel like I've gotten better at rapping, so I'm really excited for people to hear the bars."
