Thinner LeBron James Meets Cavaliers Coach

NBA superstar loses more than 10 pounds via carb-free diet.

When LeBron James posted an Instagram selfie Monday (shown here), something about him looked different. The NBA superstar's face was clearly thinner than we've seen before. With his leaner frame, King James then reportedly met face-to-face with new Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt on Tuesday.

Blatt got to see what the product of a carb-free diet looks like. According to ESPN, James has been on a carb-free diet since the end of the NBA Finals in June in order to shed some weight. And so far...it's been working, as King James has lost more than 10 pounds, reportedly.

There's been a lot of movement for James this off-season; he shut the sports world down last month with the shocking announcement that he would return to his home state of Ohio to once again play for the Cavaliers.

Since then, James has been working out, eating right, and playing Cavs' mouthpiece on a torrid pace, helping to lure free agents like Mike Miller, James Jones, and still lobbying for the services of Ray Allen, Shawn Marion, and Kevin Love, who Cleveland reportedly has a handshake agreement with Minnesota to acquire.

On Tuesday, James also posted an Instagram shot of him and Miller working out from the gym of his alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Will the loss of weight help James strengthen his game even more?
