Mary Mary And BeBe & CeCe Winans To Take The Stage For ‘Verzuz’ Easter Special
Verzuz has unveiled a portion of their spring and summer 2022 lineup with gospel crooners Mary Mary and BeBe & CeCe Winans kicking things off!
The popular and often viral music series' official Instagram account had a post about an Easter Special on Apr. 17. For Mother's Day on May 8, another Verzuz will take place, but it is unclear who will be performing.
Other stand-out dates include the Memorial Day weekend Verzuz, the Juneteenth Special, and the "First Ever Label Matchup'' coming soon in July. However, all guest performances have yet to be revealed.
In other Verzuz news, co-creators Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have teamed up with Lena Waithe for an official Verzuz documentary.
“When we first started this mission the entire world had hit rock bottom,” Swizz said in a statement in early March. “People were going through so much and Tim and I felt we should do something to help folks escape.
Waithe added: “Verzuz is more than just two artists going song-for-song. It’s a testament to the power of Black people. It’s the joyful celebration of legacy that we all needed. With this documentary, we’re excited to take audiences behind the scenes of this global phenomenon, while also paying tribute to the artists that shaped us.”
