James Harrison Blasts ESPN Reporter For Posting Jason Pierre-Paul's Medical Info

Veteran linebacker had some harsh words for Adam Schefter.

Hundreds of NFL fans lit up social media Wednesday, irate that ESPN's NFL reporter Adam Schefter tweeted Jason Pierre-Paul's medical info detailing the New York Giants defensive end's amputated right index finger.

Nobody was more furious than veteran Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, though.

Harrison ripped Schefter for posting Pierre-Paul's injury, which stemmed from a Fourth of July fireworks accident.

Like Harrison, many fans questioned Schefter's ethics and even accused him of violating

HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws, which prohibit patient information from being public knowledge.

However, ESPN reasons that news agencies are exempt from that. Furthermore, if anyone is violating ethics, it's the South Florida hospital personnel who shared information with the reporter.

It remains to be seen what the Giants will do with Pierre-Paul, who was scheduled to be their franchise player for the 2015 NFL season before the fireworks injury.
