Tyrese Gets Cited at Protest for R&B

Cops ticket singer outside of iHeartRadio.

Black Ty is really taking this emergency state of R&B to heart.

The singer jumped out of a van and staged a protest in front of Internet station, iHeartRadio this week, where he delivered an impropmtu performance of "Shame." He says his latest single would get more spins if Sam Smith, Justin Timberlake, or Robin Thicke recorded it.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT OF TYRESE'S BLACK ROSE

"I want my music to be heard by everyone in the world. Look around," he said, nodding to the peaceful crowd. "I see every color in the rainbow. Music has no limits, music has no sexual boundaries, music is supposed to be heard by everyone around the world."

That's when someone tells him, "Your driver's getting ticketed, bro."

"8 police cars and 4 motorcycle cars later - R&B must be a REAL THREAT," Tyrese later noted via social media. "... All I wanna do is have my #1 song ... thats 2 weeks in a row on Billboard to be HEARD!!!"

To be sure, he handed out copies of his new CD. "#BlackRoseMission spread love..... Spread music- I sleep well at night knowing that everyday I am literally doing my BEST!!!" he wrote.

According to TMZ, he was cited for blocking traffic.
