Leslie Jones Finally Comes Face-To-Face With Her MSNBC Crush Steve Kornacki

The comedian has been smitten by the political analyst since the 2020 presidential election.

Comedian Leslie Jones is likely still giddy after crossing off an item that has been on her bucket list for years.

While guest-hosting "The Daily Show" on Tuesday (Nov. 14), the "SNL" alum's dreams became reality. Jones interviewed MSNBC political analyst Steve Kornacki, whom she has publicly crushed on for years, as reported by the Daily Beast. In fact, for Jones, this moment was three years in the making.

Jones became smitten with the MSNBC host during his coverage of the 2020 presidential election. Since then, he has been the subject of many of her jokes, and she wasted no time letting him know the extent of her admiration.

While interviewing the khaki pants-loving journalist, Jones played a clip of her calling him the “sexiest nerd on TV" during an appearance on "Today" in October. Then in 2021, while on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," she mooned over his use of a calculator.

OK, Leslie!

As the package ended, it seemed as though Jones was on cloud 9.

“Oh my God,” she laughed. “I’m so embarrassed, but not really.”

To prove to Kornacki just how much of a fan she is, the "Coming 2 America" star presented him with a calculator topped with a bow. Keeping the flirty nature going, he said he might use it during the next election.

If you're thinking that this moment may have sparked a cute flame between the two, think again. Kornacki is team LGBTQ+, as reported by PEOPLE
