Bill Cosby To Tour In 2023
Comedian Bill Cosby says that he is headed out on tour in 2023.
In an interview with WGH Talk on Wednesday (December 28), the 85-year-old controversial celebrity informed host Scott Spears that he will tour again in 2023.
“Yes. Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it,” Cosby told Spears, according to Variety.
“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,” he added.
Cosby was released from prison in 2021 after serving nearly three years for criminal sexual assault. His conviction was later overturned by the Pennslyvania State Supreme Court.
Despite the overturned conviction, Cosby’s legal troubles have persisted. Five women filed a new sexual assault lawsuit against him and NBC earlier this month after New York State law temporarily suspended the statute of limitations for older sexual assault claims.
Four of the five women allege that the assaults happened at the height of Cosby’s fame and the popularity of his sitcom, The Cosby Show.
Cosby’s longtime rep, Andrew Wyatt called the lawsuit “frivolous,” and confirmed that Cosby is planning to tour starting in the spring/summer of 2023.
