From Kendrick Lamar, YG Marley, Sexyy Red to Darkoo and TitoM & Yuppe, here are some of the top songs by Black artists that are blowing up everyone's speakers this summer.

Black artists have the summer jammed back with some of their hit songs. Kendrick Lamar did not have to snap like that with "Not Like Us." Darkoo and Dess Dior have all the girls in a choke hold right now with "Favourite Girl." Most of you are still learning how to do the viral dance to TitoM, Yuppe, S.N.E, and EeQue's "Tshwala Bam" and Sexyy Red is just taking over.

In no particular order, here are our picks for the best summer songs by Black artists.

  • “Not Like Us” - Kendrick Lamar

    Kendrick Lamar created the summer anthem with “Not Like Us,” the best thing to come out of his viral public beef with Drake.

    Thanks to the iconic music video, the track jumped back to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart yesterday (July 15). This is the second time "Not Like Us" topped the chart, as it debuted at No. 1 when it was released in May.

  • "Praise Jah In The Moonlight" - YG Marley

    "Praise Jah In The Moonlight" is the debut single by  YG Marley. It was released in Dec of 2023 and gained over 1 billion streams worldwide in March 2024.

    You know the song is a hit if it was written alongside his mother Lauryn Hill, and samples his grandfather Bob Marley's 1978 song "Crisis." It also peaked in the top twenty of the Billboard Global 200 chart.

  • "Favourite Girl" - Darkoo feat. Dess Dior

    Darkoo and Dess Dior's viral track “Favourite Girl" will have the girls whining all summer long.

    The instrumental features a prominent sample from the Jamaican dancehall classic “Diwali Riddim.”

  • “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” - Shaboozey

    Never heard a country song like this before!

    “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” samples J-Kwon’s 2004 hit "Tipsy," blending early hip hop with Shaboozey’s country sound.

  • "Get It Sexyy" - Sexyy Red

    Sexyy Red delivered another hit with “Get It Sexyy,” a flip of Hurricane Chris' 2009 single "Halle Berry (She's Fine)."

    The song got even better when she recurited Drake, Soulja Boy, Fabo, Rob 49 for the  2000s-inspired music video.

  • "KEHLANI" - Jordan Adetunji

    Earlier this month, Jordan Adetunji became a Billboard Hot 100 first-timer with his breakthrough viral hit, “Kehlani.” It debuted at No. 70 with over 8.1 million U.S. streams.

  • "Tshwala Bam" - TitoM & Yuppe feat. S.N.E & EeQue

    This Zulu language club banger has had everyone in a chokehold with over 35 million streams on Spotify.

    It even gained a remix with Burna Boy.

  • "Cast" - Shallipopi feat. Odumodublvck

    Shallipopi and Odumodublvck were honored with plaques for "Cast"

    The dynamic song that garnered attention from industry heavyweights including Wizkid and Burna Boy, who have publicly expressed their admiration for the song.

  • "What's Up (Big Buddy)" - Jada Kingdom

    The DJs continue to have "What's Up (Big Buddy)" on repeat in the clubs.

    Jada Kingdom did what needed to be done with her contribution to Rvssian’s Dancehall Dutty Money Riddim.
