Issa Rae is back at it again; this time, she's delving into the spirits industry.

This week, the actor and producer celebrated the launch of her new line of Prosecco, Viarae.

The sparkling wine is inspired by her love of celebrating life's small and big accomplishments. It will be available at Target and alcohol delivery services like Drizly, Instacart, and Shipt. 

Viarae is a collaboration between Rae and the California-based E. & J. Gallo Winery, known for owning well-established supermarket brands such as Barefoot Bubbly and La Marca, along with higher-end labels. The brand emphasizes that Viarae is designed to be enjoyed as a versatile indulgence for any occasion.

During an interview with Los Angeles Magazine for her October cover story, Rae said, "[Prosecco] just felt not as stuffy as Champagne, which I couldn't afford at the time. And it just felt approachably luxurious, which is how I like to think I live my life." 

We’ve seen Rae integrate her love for this bubbly variety in her hit series “Insecure.” And it’s even taken on different iterations, from adding a little Jameson to a dash of vodka to add even more sparkle.

Los Angeles Magazine says, “Since then, she’s been known for keeping a glass at hand both on screen and off to celebrate or just as background to some much-needed bonding time; she counts Sara The Wine Bar in Culver City as one of her favorite places to catch up with a friend over a glass.” 

Rae admits that it's been her signature drink of choice to celebrate her friends' special occasions. "It's just such a staple drink for me," reported the outlet.

Rae suggests that Viarae has summer vibes, featuring a bright, citrusy flavor that's more dry than sweet. "It's meant to have company," she emphasizes. While she enjoys the Prosecco on its own, she enthusiastically endorses mixing it with whiskey, vodka, or her current favorite, tequila—a combination she dubs "phenomenal."
