Young M.A Handled Her First TMZ Interview Like a G
Now that Young M.A’s internet-erupting debut single “OOOUUU” has thrust her talents into the mainstream, it wasn't long before a TMZ camera was consequently thrust in her face.
It’s hard to tell whether the 24-year-old Brooklyn rapper was well-prepped with media training or if she’s just a natural in front of the camera, but she made out perfectly after being bombarded with questions on Wednesday (Nov. 16).
Keeping it short, sweet and simple, Young M.A agreed with the reporter’s sentiments that she is “very important” in the hip-hop industry as an openly gay artist, and furthermore, as an inspiration to the LGBT community. And since the emergence of “OOOUUU,” hip-hop dignitaries have grabbed hold of the beat for freestyles and diss tracks galore. After the reporter requested comment on a particular rap heavyweight, The Game, filing in another diss track toward Meek Mill over the beat, she was even more frank.
“That’s old,” she laughs. “It’s over with now!”
Despite more prying from the gossip site’s reporter about her sexuality, the rapper seemed noticeably unbothered and comfortable as she continued making her way through the airport.
Boss up on ‘em early, M.A!
See what else she had to say about whether or not she’s getting her just due in the rap game for her bars instead of her sexuality.
