Moonlight, arguably considered one of the most critically acclaimed and celebrated films of the year, may have only been released a couple of months ago, but it's already racked up a heap of awards — with only more to come.

The independent film, which stars the likes of Naomie Harris, Janelle Monáe, Mahershala Ali and more, has won more than 10 awards since its October premiere.

According to IMDB, the coming of age film has been recognized at the British Independent Film Awards (Best International Independent Film), the Chicago International Film Festival (Best Narrative Feature, Audience Choice Award), the Gotham Awards (Best Screenplay, Best Feature, Best Ensemble Performance), the Hollywood Film Awards (Breakthrough Actress — Naomie Harris), the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor — Ali, Best Cinematography), and many, many more.

In addition to its extensive wins, the Barry Jenkins-directed film has been nominated for more than 50 awards to date.

At this rate, things can only get better for the incredible film.
