The Wire Star Stands Up for Wendell Pierce After Attack on Sanders Supporter
Wendell Pierce recently made headlines following his arrest for allegedly hitting a female Bernie Sanders supporter after a political debate on May 14. Now, one of the Confirmation star's Hollywood friends is coming to his defense saying the allegations are all false.
Pierce's The Wire co-star Chad Coleman was the man who defended his honor. Speaking with Page Six, he said, "He said it was complete and absolute bogus BS."
Coleman remains adamant that the accusation goes against his friend's character: "We can all be politically fervent, but to go to that extent and accuse him to that extent is just wrong," he said. "He's an amazing guy."
Pierce, who is a known Hillary Clinton supporter, posted a $1,000 bond following his arrest in Atlanta.
