Beyoncé Makes a Surprise Visit at University of Houston to Support Her Mom
Beyoncé has been showing off some serious skin in her maternity wear ever since she announced she’s expecting, but she opted for a more demure look when she popped up at the University of Texas where her mother, Tina Knowles, was being honored.
Bey arrived in a modest floral-print dress and punched it up with an orange Birkin bag, a string of necklaces and five-inch pumps.
But Mama Tina brought the fierceness for both of them in a belted off-the-shoulder top and black skirt. She slipped on the sassy outfit to speak at the university's Friends of Women's Studies Living Archives program, which honors the achievements of local women. Tina was recognized for her accomplishments as a mom, businesswoman and philanthropist and spoke about her new Miss Tina for Walmart apparel line, designing costumes for Destiny’s Child and, of course, her daughters.
Some of Beyoncé’s most recognizable red-carpet gowns, which Tina designed, were on display, as well as the singer’s five Grammys from 2003.
