Simone Biles "Brazilian boyfriend" isn't going to just sit back and watch Zac Efron steal his girl's heart.

After witnessing the four-time Olympic gold-medal winner gush upon meeting the actor, Brazilian gymnast Arthur Mariano took to his Instagram account Wednesday and made it clear that Simone had eyes for him first.

Well, alright, man.

Before the Rio Games even began, Biles took to her IG and Twitter accounts declaring Mariano as her "Brazilian boyfriend."

That being said, both Miles and Mariano admitted to US Weekly that their relationship is nothing more than a good friendship. 

"We joke that we're like international boyfriend and girlfriend because we see each other at these international meets, so I think that's really cool," she told the publication. "International friendships are the best, and I think it's something you should cherish forever."

Added Mariano: "We're just friends, like when we see each other in competition and we text each other. [We met] in competition, at the World Championships in 2013."

Mariano still had the need to flex on Zac, though. Just cause.
