New York Jets' rookie quarterback Geno Smith has signed on with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports agency. 

Smith made the announcement on Wednesday following weeks of speculation about who he would choose to represent him. 

He says it was more to his decision to hire Roc Nation than Jay-Z being the head of the new agency. 

"When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it's a good move," said Smith according to ESPN. 
Smith fired his former agency after the NFL draft because he was chosen during the second round and expected to be a top-10 pick.
