Vice President Kamala Harris has earned her stripes as a style icon!
For years, the democratic politician and attorney caught our attention with her fashionable business attire, love for functional footwear, and pearl accessories— which has been dubbed 'power pearls' to show homage to her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha.
The VP's signature style is all about practical power suits. The highest-ranking female elected official in the United States even opted for an ivory Carolina Herrera trouser suit for her Vice Presidential acceptance speech. FYI: White or ivory is a feminist color, worn by the suffragettes at the beginning of the 20th century to get women's votes recognized.
While on the campaign trail, the VP wore white shirts and skinny jeans with her classic Chuck Taylor All-Stars. She's even styled in a khaki cargo jacket and a pair of Timberland boots while visiting the wildfires in California last summer.
