Video of Florida State QB De'Andre Johnson Punching Woman Surfaces
Absolutely brutal.
Late last month Florida State University quarterback De'Andre Johnson was suspended indefinitely for reportedly punching a female inside a Tallahassee bar. On Monday, TMZ Sports released shocking video surveillance footage showing Johnson punch a woman during an altercation at a bar. The punch left the woman bleeding from the nose.
The footage — which was released by the State Attorney's office and is likely to draw comparisons to the shocking video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancée in February 2014 — shows the female address Johnson as he aggressively tries to get past her and to the bar. She raises her fist as a warning to which Johnson responds by grabbing her hand in attempt to restrain her. The woman punches Johnson and the freshman QB responds by punching her right back in the face.
Last week, a notice-to-appear warrant was issued for Johnson, who has been charged with misdemeanor battery.
The case is ongoing.
