This Mom Spent $25K on a Camel and Lamborghini for Her Son's Epic Prom Sendoff
This is Saudia Shuler and her son Johnny 'JJ' Eden Jr.
JJ is a senior at a Philadelphia high school and, for his sendoff, his mother decided to throw him an extravagant, Dubai-inspired party.
Shuler, who owns a soul food restaurant called Country Cookin, has experienced many hardships in the past. Three years ago, a debilitating stroke made Shuler question if she would be around to see her son go to prom.
“I was messed up,” Shuler told Billy Penn. “I couldn’t walk for a year and a half. I couldn’t wipe my butt.”
Shuler vowed to make sure her son's graduation year was the best yet if she survived her health complications.
For the Dubai-themed prom sendoff, Shuler rented a camel from a farm in Ohio

Additionally, Shuler rented a Rolls Royce, Range Rover and Lamborghini for her son
In total, the evening cost about $25,000
Although Shuler received some criticism on Twitter for spending so much on a prom, she is not bothered
According to Shuler, the critics have no idea what she has experienced in her life. After undergoing multiple surgeries, suffering from seizures and possibly having cancer, Shuler wants to make sure she enjoys the time she has with her son.
