Jaden Smith Delivers a New 'Offering'
Jaden Smith has a damn good “Offering” he’d like to share.
The 16-year-old dropped a new joint today, and like much of what we’ve already heard from the "young profit," who calls Calabasas, Calif., home, the track is sonically tranquil with an old-school hip hop/ jazz feel.

But where the instrumental calms the mood, Smith's lyrics keep the ears perked up. Packed in between fame-related lines like, “My family’s not a circus, I told my dad to move the whole tribe down to Europe,” Smith raps about history, “the system,” and more unexpected knowledge from a teenager.
“Dancing with the devil won’t repeat the last century," he spits in one verse. "Evolution probably mentioned me/Penitentiaries, they fillin’ up, that’s why they killing us/ Probably see the flaws in the matrix if you real enough.”
In case it's unclear, Mr. Smith is on a serious music kick. "Offering" follows up This Is the Album, which the teen released in February, and trio of previously unheard tracks that he debuted three weeks later.
