Rihanna Previews New Song 'Higher' On Instagram
Rihanna has been hush hush about the progress of her highly anticipated eighth studio album, but has been posting snippets on social media to hold the Navy over. Keeping the trend going, RiRi took to Instagram today (March 5) to share two short clips of a track called "Higher."
Produced by Kuk Harrell and Marcos Tovar, "Higher" sees the Bajan beauty sing over a background of live strings: "This whiskey got me feelin' pretty, so pardon if I'm impolite / I just really need your a** with me," she sings. "Higher, higher than I've ever been, babe / Just come over, let's pour a drink, babe / I hope I ain't callin' you too late."
In a more official format, Rih also released a new song called "Dancing in the Dark" in support of the DreamWorks animated film Home, in which she also stars.
Although the anticipation for #R8 has been increasing for some time now, the Kanye West and Paul McCartney-assisted "FourFiveSeconds" is the only official single released. It currently sits at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
