Lupe Fiasco Extends Olive Branch to Chief Keef
Lupe Fiasco and Chief Keef have had their differences over the past couple of weeks, but Lupe showed his commitment to burying the hatchet by shouting out the younger rapper at a concert in Toronto last night.
Addressing the Rexall Centre during a free show, Lu said that he wasn't a perfect man and showed love to the recently beleaguered Keef.
"I'm far from being the man I want to be... I ain't no saint, either," Lupe told the crowd. "With that being said, I love my brother and I want to see him succeed and do his thing... shout out to the big homie Chief Keef."
The tension between the two began when Lupe went on the radio and said that Keef and the presumed culture of youth violence that he represents "scares" him. The 17-year-old Interscope signee responded to the comments with an aggressive diss on Twitter.
"Lupe Fiasco a hoe ass n---a and when I see him I'ma smack him like da lil b--ch he is," he wrote.
Since then, both parties have attempted to strike a more conciliatory tone. We hope Lupe's shout out leads to further peace.
