T.I. Talks Potential Marvel Comics Collab, New Movies
T.I. may be preparing for the release of his highly anticipated fifth album Trouble Man, but the ATL kingpin has more than one iron in the fire. In a new interview with Forbes magazine, Tip reveals that he has a few Hollywood movies in the pipeline in addition to a mysterious collaboration with Marvel Comics.
“There is a Marvel Comics franchise that has been inquiring about my availability for quite some time," he said coyly. "I will not let any cats out of the bag prematurely; however, there is a Marvel Comics franchise that has been requesting about my availability.”
In addition to collaborating with the legendary comics publisher, T.I. will flex his acting chops in an upcoming blockbuster tentatively titled We Mortals Are from director Doug Liman and star Tom Cruise.
"We also have a new Tom Cruise film with Doug Liman who made The Bourne Identity, Swingers," he said. "I have that as well on the horizon...aside from that, I have some other film things that I'm looking into, something with Kevin Hart that I'm looking into, something with Omar Epps that I'm looking into."
But before T.I. the actor takes the big screen, you'll be able to catch T.I. the Grammy-winning rapper on Trouble Man, which is expected in stores this summer. He also executive produced and appears on B.o.B.'s sophomore effort Strange Clouds, due May 1.
