Faith Evans Files For Divorce

The R&B singer wants out of her marriage to record exec husband.

After 13 years of marriage, singer/songwriter Faith Evans has filed for divorce from her husband, Todd Russaw.

According to celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, the former first lady of Bad Boy Records cited irreconcilable differences as her reason for calling it quits with the record company executive. The papers, which were filed in L.A. County Superior Court, show that the couple has been separated since December 2005. TMZ questions the timeline of the separation given that the couple had their second child in 2007.

Evans, 37, is reportedly asking for joint legal and sole physical custody of the couple’s two children. She wants the judge to allow visitation rights for Russaw, but reject any claim of spousal support.

Evans and Russaw married in 1998 soon after the death of Evan’s first husband, rapper Notorious B.I.G.
