It was Jay Z who famously mused: “You can learn how to dress just by checkin’ my fresh.” But, as we have come to accept, not every man is born with imitable style. And if your man is one of those needing some, ahem, guidance, just turn to Serena Williams.
In a new interview featured in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the tennis phenom and fashion designer shares some pretty great tips for helping bae come into his own.
“Show him
images from magazines and Pinterest that you think would look nice on him, but more important, make sure that you like who he is as a person. I like a man who has a unique style. I'd hate for him to fit into a mold or to blend in with the other guys.”
She also doled out some amazing answers to readers’ dating dilemmas, such as what to wear on a first date (“It's really important to be yourself, since your true colors will show through in the end. And always add heels!”) and how to be sexy and strong (“Being sexy is really about how you carry yourself. Strength and confidence equal sexy”).
And, hilariously, what she really thinks about Netflix and chill. “When I say ‘Netflix and chill,’ that's what
I mean. I guess you and I are just old-fashioned — if you can call Netflix old-fashioned!”
