Say Hello to Caitlyn Jenner
It has been along time coming for the person formerly known as Bruce Jenner. Just moments ago, Vanity Fair released images of their newest cover girl: Caitlyn Jenner. Shot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz, Caitlyn is staring into the camera with the title: "Call Me Caitlyn." At 65 years old, Caitlyn is finally living her truth and says in the interview with Vanity Fair, "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’"
Vanity Fair's stunning new cover comes just after Jenner's public coming out this past April. Sitting down with Diane Sawyer, she candidly spoke about her journey toward self discovery and explained she had the "soul of a woman." Unlike many trans people, Caitlyn is fully supported by her family, including Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Kim revealed Kanye was one of the people who helped her come to terms with Caitlyn's transition.
Congrats to Caitlyn for living life to her standards. The suicide rate for trans or gender non-conforming people is a staggering 41 percent. Therefore, as we all know, haters will hate, but Caitlyn will clearly be an inspiration to others.
