Actor and television personality Nick Cannon has officially filed for divorce from Mariah Carey.

TMZ has learned that Cannon quietly filed on December 12, a little more than a week after the "Vision of Love" singer showed up three hours late to tape the NBC tree-lighting special. It was reported that the terms of her property settlement were the cause of the delay. Now that the deal has been hashed out, Nick received the go-ahead to file.

The contents of the settlement basically detach the Real Husbands of Hollywood actor from the iconic singer's brand new lucrative Vegas residency deal.
